Ashton Manor is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art care home designed for the Evermore team, reflecting their long-standing commitment to high-quality, person-centred care. Evermore’s first new-build facility, the project delivers a best-in-class environment that places residents’ dignity, independence and wellbeing at the heart of the design.

Arranged over three floors, the home accommodates 67 bedrooms across three distinct communities, including a dedicated dementia care floor with bespoke design features. Spacious communal spaces are organised into smaller ‘households’, creating a calm, domestic atmosphere that supports social interaction and builds residents’ confidence. Easy access to outdoor spaces is integral, with balconies on each level and a south-facing courtyard providing strong connections to sunlight and nature throughout the year.

Architecturally, Ashton Manor blends traditional character with contemporary detailing. Stepped elevations, local red brick, timber weatherboarding and lead dormers ensure the building sits comfortably within its residential context. A room-in-roof strategy maximises internal space whilst maintaining a welcoming and street presence.

Completed in just 56 weeks using an innovative steel frame construction, the project was recognised with the Best Architectural Design award at the Healthcare Design Awards 2024.
