Located adjacent to a business park which was finished in 2008, the proposal comprised of 68 residential ensuite bedrooms with associated support accommodation.
The layout was designed with a central entrance and two wings, providing flexibility of space for segregation of residents if preferred by the operator. The building’s scale is restricted to two storeys and provides staff accommodation in the roof space to efficiently maximise the available space and maintain the footprint to a minimum.
A central terrace provides external amenity space to residents on the first floor and provides views over the existing mature setting which is enhanced with formal gardens, activity spaces and additional planting.
The proposal was produced for Frontier Estates and was completed January 2021. More recently, this scheme was shortlisted for ‘Best Architectural Design’ at the Pinders Awards 2022.
